Why We’re Upgrading to USB Combo Drives for Your Digitized Memories

Why We’re Upgrading to USB Combo Drives for Your Digitized Memories

At Capture, we’re always looking for ways to improve your experience and make it as easy as possible to enjoy your digitized memories. That’s why we’re excited to announce an upgrade: we’re replacing our USB-A drives with USB Combo Drives that support both USB-A and USB-C connectors.

This new USB Combo Drive is compatible with a wide range of mobile and desktop devices, so you can access your memories more easily and flexibly than ever before.

Only available with Capture! USB Combo Drive - Updated output option, compatible with mobile and desktop

More Flexibility for You

The shift from USB-A-only drives to USB Combo Drives solves one of the biggest challenges our customers face: ensuring compatibility across all their devices.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • Seamless Access on Mobile and Desktop Devices: Whether you’re using a smartphone with a USB-C port, a laptop with USB-C, or an older desktop with USB-A, the USB Combo Drive works with them all.
  • No Extra Accessories (for Most Devices): Enjoy the simplicity of connecting directly to your device without needing adapters.

Note for iPhone Users: If your iPhone uses a Lightning port, you’ll need a USB adapter to access files. Lightning-to-USB adapters are easy to find, with multi-packs starting at under $10.

How You Can Use the USB Combo Drive

1. Share Memories Directly from Your Smartphone or Tablet
After digitizing your old family videos, plug the USB Combo Drive into your USB-C-compatible phone or tablet to show the videos instantly—no computer needed.

2. Use It Across Home and Work Devices
Switch effortlessly between a modern laptop with USB-C and an older desktop or TV that still uses USB-A, making it easy to view or back up your files wherever you are.

3. Play Videos on Your Smart TV
Many new TVs and streaming devices support USB-C. Plug the USB Combo Drive directly into your TV to play digitized home videos on a larger screen without needing extra equipment.

4. Bring It to Family Gatherings
Take the USB Combo Drive to a family event, where people can plug it into different devices, whether they’re using USB-A or USB-C, so everyone can enjoy your digitized memories together.

Why USB Combo Drives Are the Future

USB Combo Drives aren’t just about today—they’re about tomorrow. USB-C is becoming the standard for modern devices, and this upgrade ensures that you’ll have a drive compatible with the latest technology while still working with older devices.

Wrapping It Up

We’re thrilled to introduce USB Combo Drives to make accessing and sharing your digitized memories more convenient than ever. With compatibility across mobile and desktop devices, you can easily enjoy your files anywhere—whether it’s at home, at work, or on the go.

Have questions or want to learn more? Reach out to our team—we’re here to help every step of the way.

Here’s to making your memories as accessible as they are unforgettable!
